ROUGIER Electromécanique acquired a production unit for moulded commutators at the end of the 1960s, giving us more tools and broadening our range of production.
We then acquired a copper extrusion press in the 1970s, which allowed us complete independence in terms of the production chain, including crimped, moulded, screwed, solid, riser, floating and ventilated commutators.
Half a century later, we are still using this expertise to offer you individual or serial production of commutators in almost all sizes imaginable.
The same holds true for the choice of materials, whether you want standard copper commutators, or silver-bearing copper or mica commutators for specific requirements – we can adapt our offer to your needs. ROUGIER Electromécanique can also offer you specific technical solutions when producing commutators, such as riveting the risers instead of soldering them with tin, or reinforcing the hold of the bars using a specific bracing.
